Reducing our environmental impact, optimizing our industrial process and manufacturing environmentally-conscious products are the three key parts of NUDEC's environmental sustainability strategy
NUDEC’s commitment to the environment is not just focused on obtaining sustainable products; we understand that it is essential to account for the product’s transformation process and its surrounding factors.
And we have called this environmental responsibility Cyrclus Ecosys. A set of actions and certifications which are focused on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and incorporating a new consumption and production model: the circular economy.
We thus take care of the shared environment via an efficient use of resources in the extrusion process, which in turn reduces our environmental footprint. We also encourage our suppliers, customers and employees to join our ecology and efficiency initiatives in order to develop and promote sustainable communities.
This strategy is integrated into the Integrated Management System (Quality, with ISO 9001 and Environmental Management, with ISO 14001), which have been implemented and embedded into NUDEC’s management processes for many years, and the recent incorporation of the ISO 50001 of Energy Efficiency.

A project which complements and offers an extension to the 5S cleaning system in order to manage a very specific type of waste: microplastics. A global and voluntary initiative in the plastics industry to prevent plastic particles from being released into the environment.
We certify an energy policy and rationally manage the energy vectors deriving from our activity, notably in the facilities and products, with the aim of promoting a real and measurable reduction in the amount of energy used.
The EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) are the certified documents that offer quantified and verifiable information on the environmental performance of our products, which allows us to assess the environmental impact throughout their life cycle.
ISCC is a sustainability certification system which is used to establish traceability in the supply chains of renewable raw materials. By using this system, we contribute to the change towards the circular economy and bioeconomy, manifesting our contributions through the use of the ISCC PLUS certified system.
A small gesture which represents a big commitment to the Environment: providing our production process for plastic plates with 100% sustainable and renewable energy. The GdOs (guarantees of origin) are a method of certifying that 100% of the energy that reaches our facilities has been produced by renewable energy or cogeneration.
We analyze all our products, both internally and externally, to certify that their properties and composition side with the search for a circular economy. Our products are manufactured using lower levels of water consumption, many of them are recyclable and others allow processing companies to think about ecodesign.
